National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and Construction Skills Certification Scheme(CSCS)

 

Do you require a Construction Skills Certification Scheme Skills Card?

If the answer is "YES" you will need to achieve an NVQ in order to obtain a full skills CSCS card. There are currently two routes open to you:-
 

On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT)

A vocational NVQ assessor will visit you on-site to assess your ability to perform roofing tasks. These tasks are set by the Awarding Body - CSkills/City & Guilds. The process involves very little down time for you or your operatives and therefore does not disrupt valuable working time. This is a fast route open through CAA-ConstructionSkills/City & Guilds awarding body to achieving your qualification.(see On-site Assessments and Training)
 

Experienced Worker Practical Assessment Route (EWPAR)

The practical assessment process can be completed in as little as 2 days and is currently available for roof tilers and slaters and sheeters and cladders. There is no requirement to attend college, no requirement for on-site assessments and no requirement to produce support evidence.
